Dental trauma is a global problem. Over a billion people have had some sort of dental trauma during their life while almost 200 million were children. Based on literature, it is known that more than 12% of world population had a dental trauma. Taking into account all the chronic diseases in the world, where caries is the most often, dental trauma takes fifth place.

Unfortunately, complications are a part of the dental trauma problem. Regardless of the type of dentition, complications may occur as discoloration, periapical radiolucency, abnormal position and premature loss. Management of dental trauma should be done with a certainty and knowledge based on scientific evidence. Dental trauma guides are a necessity in modern time and should be considered as a tool which helps in everyday practice.

Lecture will be based on contemporary literature of dental trauma and clinical cases will be shown as a solution and a way to avoid possible complications.
